Jenn air dishwasher smells like vomit

Purchased brand new appliances through Sears Canada late last year with extended warranties. The double oven, the Fridge, cook top and dishwasher all Jenn Air professional series.

We are having a problem with the dishwasher. From the very first time the dishwasher was started up, it exhibited odors when you opened the door after the cycle had completed.

Initially, the dishwasher exhibited a smell similar to that of burning rubber. After a service man was out to inspect the unit he found the water temperature 12 degrees higher than preferred so we lowered it. The smell continued each time we used it. On subsequent calls we were provided dishwasher cleaning products but these have not helped much. Over the last six months the dishwasher has gone from a rubber smell to a more of one that smells of vomit after dishes are washed.

Sears has been out more than 3 times and even had a manager out to inspect the unit. They believe the smell is because of the newness of the product - and have informed us we have to live with this smell.

I have spoken with Jenn-air and they have referred me back to Sears.
