Buyers beware American TV repair and warranty service

Sony TV American TV Peoria, IL 61615 US WARNING: Buyers beware American TV repair and warranty service. I decided to buy a TV i went to several places looking for the best deal. People the best DEAL is getting the BEST SERVICE! I realize that was my first mistake. American TV will beat everyone's prices. To make a long story short if i can. I'll try here. After 3 months of trying to decide which TV to buy the salesman at American TV told me that i could get a sweet deal on a open box TV if i purchased a warranty. They had a 3 year for $199 and a 5 year for $299 we got conformation from his manager and he said we had a deal. A year later my set goes out and i find out that my 5 year warranty plan did not include bulb replacement only the 3 year did. After going round and round with a store manager he decided that it wasnt my fault based on the sale and said i could pay a one time fee - more money to include bulb replaemant and that it could only be replaced one time and that is final and then im on my own. otherwise the bulb was $200 Dollars alone not including the price for service replacing it. You can replace them yourself. Ok so thats done and now with the repair. Turn around time for the part which was a light engine that cost between $900-$1600 dollars to arrive is 2 weeks. So im without my only 50 inch TV in the whole house. The day that the repairman shows up with the new ordered part that took 2 weeks to arrive and he looses a piece in the carpet we searched for it for over an hour we didnt find it. So he calls his boss and plan B is now in effect to try and solder this little area on the board. After about 6-7 hrs he says well im gonna have to take your TV home and fix it overnight and return in the morning. I'm boiling over at this point since i paid for in-home service and i didnt just get off the boat. I didnt hear from him at all the next day and he didnt answer his phone or return any calls 3 days go buy and he shows up. Repair status is TV is a little brighter due to new bulb replacemt and the repairman left out rails and screws out of the TV and i called the store and ask a manager not to take my word for it but to come to my home to investigate it himself. I never hear from him either. I dont think the light engine was ever fixed because i just called them last week to get it corrected due to very poor picture quality now they tell me they need to remove my light engine put a bandaid on it and it will take 6-8 weeks for the part to return from PTS. I talked with a service rep and then a manager and then his manager. Then i called corporate and i didnt recieve any help from them as well. 3 days of talking with different people. The first manager lied and told me our store was a corporate office and he was a corporate team leader as if their was no one else i could talk to at first before he changed his tune. When i refused his poor professinalism I feel as if my 5 year warranty is not being honored. This is my second service call and i asked for a different repairman. Our store only has one and that is it. I wanted to see the date on my part to make sure i had a new part in the first place. Now hes coming out to cover up what he didnt fix in the first place with access parts left out of my set on the first repair. I wished i had of gone to Best Buy. I havent recieved any bad service their so it would have cost me alittle more and i personally have not had a bad experience with them yet. So people beware. The salesman is gonna make the deal sound so sweet to make the sale and the warranty pitch sounds so good but your not getting what you pay for. Your told your gonna get at deal of a lifetime and the best price at the time of sale. When your item doesnt work your warranty is not gonna work either. Trust me i feel like i wasted money on a 5yr warranty and for what its worth just feel the need to purchase another TV elsewhere and not waste good health with American TV the service is TOXIC!!!!
