The email address indicated is the President of the Rogers,Robert Bruce, and his email is rbruce AT rogers.com. I sent him my complaint as a last resort and was completely ignored.


I noticed after being a Rogers customer for over 10 years that I was being taken to the cleaners. When I bought my first cell phone Rogers and Telus were the only vendors available.


Rogers service has become intolerable. They are inflexible, incompetant, over priced (by 300%+) according to my calculations and push locked in contracts.


I requested cancellation of my service due to "Failure to Perform" on April 2009 and and gave 2 weeks notice. In the letter that I sent I said I didn't have time to call. Typical wait time for service is 30 minutes but I have experienced much worse.


They have ignored my request completely and are still billing me as if they had received nothing. I have sent letters to customer service, the most recent was Registered Mail, and copied the President of the company - email address indicated above.


This is a company that has an unfair and monopolistic business model. They bully and manipulate thier clients and dramtically overcharge for service standards which are well below the competition, Virgin Mobile for example.


In this case I was paying $120+ a month for a cell phone with email and internet access. Now I'm paying $40. for better service and no contract.


In the letters that I sent to Rogers I requested a final invoice indicating the amount I owe up to April 22, the 2 weeks notice. They have ignored my letters without even acknowledging my request and this includes the President of the company, Robert Bruce.


The fact that the President, Robert Bruce, has not responded means that this must be company policy. "Ignore your clients until they get fed up and pay the bill."


At this point I have no interest in paying Rogers anything at all so the point of this entry is not to encourage Rogers to deal with me fairly but to issue a:


Consumer Alert: You should AVOID the Rogers group like you would avoid H1N1.


Customer service is non existent and call quality was a joke which was one of the original reasons for ending my service.


This is a company that doesn't feel it needs to compete.
