Office Depot brand ink guarantee

Purchased OD Brand printer ink 6 months ago, remanufactured and compatible for HP 96 ink. Box reads "100% satisfaction guaranteed or your money back.

Inserted ink cartridge for the first time this past weekend when my printer ran out. Although I performed all cleaning and priming functions on the enclosed instructions, and suggested by the HP printer help, every 3rd line was not legible.

Brought cartridge to store, with receipt, was told they only do returns within 30 days. Showed them the guarantee on the box. After the supervisor got the store manager, he also said the same thing. He finally offered a replacement. I told him I only wanted what their guarantee promised, my money back. After arguing for 10 minutes he finally did give my money back, after sarcastic and rude comments.
