Whirlpool warranty - NOT
|
Whirlpool 40 g hot water heater Whirlpool US The Whirlpool water heater I purchased in October is leaking. According to their customer service representatives and Prince, a supervisor, the warranty requires that I hire a technician to uninstall the water heater, rent a truck to take it back to the place of purchase and then have them install a new one. I was told that was their policy and no one could change it no matter how high up the ladder I went. I asked why the company could not just remove the old one when they installed the new one and was told that was not possible. So I am to incurr additional expense AND be without hot water while I have one transported back and wait for an appointment for someone to replace THEIR defective product!?!? They did say they would pay up to $135 for installation but that is not going to cover the uninstall, reinstall and truck rental not to mention the aggravation and time. So much for customer service! They have just lost a customer - for life! From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Wednesday, 15-Jul-09 08:28:30 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
