Washer durablity

For sometime we have been getting f11 code on the display. Which means no communication between control board and motor. Bought the washer in September of 06. It's pretty bad when you pay $800.00 for a washer and it goes out in 2 1/2 yrs. They offered me 15% off the part which is $300.00 - $350.00. What ripoff. I paid 235.00 for a washer and it lasted 15 yrs. That's the last whirlpool I'll ever buy, sure make Sears look real good.

I also purchased this item back in 2006. In December of 2009, I started getting the F-codes. A replacement control board has been back-ordered for the past 2 months. According to Whirlpool, they have a backlog of 1500 units and only ship out 200 per week. No concession has been made by Whirlpool re: delay in shipping; inconvenience of not having use of unit; etc.
