Not In "Good Hands" with Allstate

While on vacation a water line under our sink sent over 6000 gallons of water through our house. The estimate for the house, HWH and furnace is $55,500.00, Allstate sent us just under $11,231.00. So we are now doing the work ourselves to keep costs down and using our own money for anything over the $11,231.00.

They "hired out" an adjuster who took more than a month to let my contractor know he had no problem with his original bid of $19,500.00, but he wanted it more detailed. They also sub-contracted Serv Pro to remove the water and dry the house which wasn't dried completely the first time and they had to come out again. We now have mold in the lower level and although this is their fault for their lazy claims adjuster not getting off his bottom and handling our claim; they are trying to say it was pre-existing and it wont be covered.

We've been with Allstate for almost 15 years, and needless to say we wont recommend them or continue to insure with them again.

They will cancel you immediately if you don't pay... But they don't want to pay for anything when it comes to putting in a claim.
