Price Cheaters should be called people cheaters

this website advertised an MP3 player that resembled an ipod with virtually the same functions for a fraction of the cost. After reading the good reviews from others who ordered this product I went ahead I placed an order for two MP3 players on Dec. 17th. Once my order was placed my debit card was charged and I reeived a notice it was on backorder with no date as to when it may be shipped. I have posted several messages on their site and sent several email inquiring as to when I may expect shipment with no response. I have no way of reaching this company other than the emails and now I feel I may not be able to get my money back. This is bad business and I don't believe they are legit. I think their name price cheaters should be changed to people cheaters because they cheat people out of their money!

ON JULY 16 I ORDERED FROM PRICE CHEATERS A LACIE 500 GB EXT HARD DRIVE (ITEM #301302U) UNDER ORDER # 14A5FDB7FCD236.ON JULY 20 I NOTICED I HAD NOT RECEIVED SHIPPING INFO.I SENT E-MAIL REQUESTING SHIPPING INFO.I FOLLOWED UP WITH TWO ADDITIONAL E-MAILS.FINALLY ON 7/22 I RECEIVE APOLOGETIC E-MAIL INFORMING ME THAT THE ITEM IS ON "TEMPORARY BACKORDER" WHATEVER THAT MEANS.I EMMEDIATELY BLASTED THEM FOR THEIR LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM NOT TO MENTION THEIR LACK OF HONESTY IN HANDLING THIS ORDER AND DEMANDED THEY CREDIT MY ACCOUNT ACCORDINGLY.WELL TODAY IS JULY 27 AND AFTER THREE E-MAILS REQUESTING ACKNOWLEDGEMENT/CONFIRMATION OF MY DUE CREDIT THERE IS A SILENCE FROM ("PEOPLECHEATERS") PRICECHEATERS OR SHOULD I SAY "PEOPLECHEATERS".HOW IS THIS COMPANY ALLOWED TO CONTINUE DOING BUSINESS ON THE INTERNET WITHOUT HAVING ANY RESPONSIBILITY TO CUSTOMERS? SURPRISING TO ME I RECEIVED ANOTHER E-MAIL LATE ON JULY 27 INFORMING ME THAT A SHIPMENT HAS BEEN MADE ON JULY 23 AND THAT I SHOULD EXPECT DELIVERY ON JULY 28.CAN YOU BELIEVE THESE IDIOTS.ARE THEY FROM ANOTHER PLANET OR HAVE THEY LIVED IN THE JUNGLES FOR THE LAST 50 YEARS.

Same thing happened to us. Money was taken from our account same day as ordered. We never received MP3 Player. I emailed them about a half a dozen times inquiring about the shipment status or any info for that matter. No one ever responded. We did, however, just get a refund for the amount that was taken from the account.

I just contacted someone at 1-866-299-1833 (Bridgevine) states refund was issued for all mp3 players ordered for xmas by this company on 1-23-09. So check your checking account for refund if not call the numer given. Mine was refunded.

Exactly the same happened to me on december 15th. My credit card was charged the same day I placed the order but apart from an order acknowledgement I never received the goods or any info telling me if it shipped or was on back order.

I too believe it's a scam and I called the number showing on my credit card statement. Instead of Pricecheater.com it shows up as "broadband" and their tel # 888 375 4610. I'm now waiting for them to call back to confirm that the order has been cancelled and the refund is being sent. I suggest you call that number too.
