Samsung Phone Repair Service Warning

After sending my Samsung Blackjack II in for repair for a keypad and scroll wheel problem Samsung's techs found the problem with my phone was covered under their warranty policy and informed me that my phone had already been repaired and that there would be no cost to me.

A few days later, after the phone was supposed to have already started its trip back to me, I received an email from Samsung informing me that they had now found "corrosion" under the "key dome", the warranty was now being considered void, and if I wanted my phone to "now be repaired", I would have to pay for the work. After questioning their rep about how corrosion would get under the "key dome" I was put on hold several times for several minutes at a time and then told that their techs had now found that one of the water indicators under the keypad was discolored and that "Water must have gotten in the phone". I know times are tough but I surely wouldn't try charging one of my customers for a warranty repair.
