I had been a Qwest customer for many many yrs, both phone service and internet service. I recently started cutting back on my expenses and decided to cut my landline and live solely by cellphone. I arranged to have my phone disconnected the end of November 2008. They explained all charges would take a while to come thru and I paid what was listed as my final bill just before xmas for $25.36. The amt cleared my acct on Decm 22. I received another bill in Janu for $26.84. I looked at my acct online and AS OF TONIGHT, 1/30/09, they still haven't posted my Decm payment. The addl charge they claim was a final long distance call I made on 11/26 or so just days before the line was disconnected. No one in the house was using the phone. I called the number on the bill and it is a residence 300 miles away and someone I don't know. I'm so tired of our billion dollar corporations failing us. this is a prime example of what's wrong with America. Their website sucks - at night you can never access your billing history and they don't post payments in a reasonable manner. I'll probably pay the $1.48 but i shouldn't have to. One more call to them and I'm done.
