Chase Bank for Circuit City
Chase
US

I asked my credit card company for a one time late fee reversal and was told in a very rude and unapologetic way that they do not reverse fees unless it was a bank error. I explained that I have been keeping up with all my bills even though my husband has been laid off and we are a family of 6. Their answer was "no exceptions". Same response from a supervisor. I understand Circuit City is closing and they may not care about having to service their customers because they will no longer be making any future money, but in this economy, Chase should be a little more compassionate - especially with the banks receiving all of the government money - where does this money come from anyway? No more Chase for my family!

Chase "Circuit City Card"

I purchase a TV in September 2008 with 3 years interest free. Well I paid my statement in October and November on-line, then said to my self I going to set up auto pay. Well after making my payment in November I set up auto pay and said OK that is done I will not have to worry about this anymore it will do it on its own. My payments are due on the 15th of every month I did not even check to see if it worked. I got a letter in the mail on Jan 8 tell me that my credit was reduce to 2500.00 witch was 6000.00. I call them up and they told me I was 15 days late with my payment. I told them hold is that possible when I set up auto pay. They told me that they did not see me set up on auto. I told him that this is impossible it has to be there and he said no sorry. He told me he would remove the late fee and I made a payment with him. I had to reset my self up and I also told him that there has to be something with there system that it did no t take or got knocked out. Well it is now January 26, 2009 I get the bill in the mail and opened it and all most passed out. They are now charging me 96.95 % ARP. for Sept. to January and 15.99 % ARP for my balance. Icalled them and they told me that I defaulted on my payment and they voided my 0% ARP because of that and they can not do anything once it's voided. I believe that they did that because Circuit City is going out of business. I wanted to speak to a manager and she was in meeting that is hard to believe that CHASE a very large bank would only have 1 manger in San Antonio TX Call center. She told me that she will have her call me back. This is a SCAM !!!!!!
