Sears Rebate Scam

US

Bought a GE stove with $65.00 Rebate. Filled out all the required paperwork and mailed in. Called rebate center 2 times. Waited 3 weeks after calling first time. Individuals on phone both times say the same thing. That they just started opening the rebate envelopes and to call back in a couple weeks. I will never buy another product from Sears.

I purchased 5 LG Kitchen Applainces ($7,500.00) in November of 2009 for my house we are building. I went with LG mainly because at the time of purchase they were offering a 1000.00 rebate when you bought certain items and it was items I needed. I really liked the look and features that LG appliances offered. I mailed my rebate in on 12-2-09 and as of 3-1-10 I have not heard anything from them. Today I pulled out my copy of the rebate form and was reading the FINE print for a phone number to call and check on my rebate and read where "if fulfillment of this rebate is to a PO Box it is not accepted". My mailing address is a PO Box. No where on the form where you filled in your address did it say "No PO Boxes" but they did say "blue or black ink only". I have tried to call the number to check on my rebate and was told my call would be answered in order it was received and of course the website I found is currently under construction. I am scared now that I might not get my refund. Just wondering if anyone has had this same problem???

I bought 3 LG appliances of November 27, 2009 from Home Depot and even had my sister in Law buy a set for her home. Here it is February 28, 2010 and still we didn't get $500.00 rebate each. I was told that we should get it by the end of February.

I purchased 2 LG appliances from Home Depot on 11/29,2009 and filled out the rebate form, etc. Was told on January 29 that they were running behind and the check would go out the 1st week in February. Today is February, 19, called back, they are telling me a "few more weeks." I think I will have Home Depot pick up the appliances. Sounds like a scam to me.

I BOUGHT A SEARS GAS DRYER. TRIED TO ENTER MY REBATE ONLINE. WHAT A JOKE. called the sears store and it took me 15minutes to get to the appliance department!. It was quicker to actually buy the unit. I will be amazed if I receive the rebate.

i am with you on this. I bought two Sears appliances. LG refrigerator and a stove. Was supposed to get a $75.oo rebate.

The rebate site is just a sham. I have sent multiple inquiries. They keep saying the rebate site is not up todate and that they are behind on rebates... with no real expected date to mail the rebate. I wonder if anybody really gets their rebates. Sears rebates suck if you do not get them at the time of purchase. Its the principal of the thing. Tired of Sears taking adantage
