Target order delayed 3 months

Senseo Coffee maker Target US www.target.com When I ordered the coffee maker on 12/20/08, I was told that there was a possibility of a 2 week delay, which I approved of. I just received an email, on 2/4/09, stating that my order would be shipped on 3/7/09. That comes just a shade under a QUARTER OF A YEAR for a coffee maker ordered in December to arrive in March. There is no reason for you to have not notified me about the further delay. I could have built a coffee maker by now. If you really want to improve your customer service you may want to inform your customers earlier than a month and a half later that their order still will not be shipped for another month. Finally, when I checked my online account shortly after the new year, it showed no items ordered, making me assume that I had not ordered the item correctly and that it was my fault. I would appreciate an apology, or some sort of compensation, and would love to know what Target plans on doing to better service their customers in the future. Until this issue is resolved, I will not buy another item nor will I recommend my customers, friends or family to shop with your establishment.
