I made a reservation on 2/18/09 at 10:37pm and cancelled that reservation on 2/19/09 11:39am at least that is what I thought. The web site said that I would get one courtesy cancellation. I pushed the cancel button more then twice but nothing seemed to happen. BUYER BEWARE!!! But being my first time cancelling a flight, I thought this was normal behavior and still thought the flight had been cancelled. I checked my credit card account daily looking for the credit of the purchase amount. Since there was no credit, I went back into Cheap Tickets web site only to find out that the ticket was still active or appeared to be still active. When I selected cancel this time, (2/22/09 12:00pm) I got a confirmation of the cancellation. I immediately contacted your customer service representative Loraina, who informed me that the reservation was not cancelled in time to meet the courtesy cancellation. Cheaptickets.com confirms that I logged into their system at that time but contends that I did not push the cancellation button. BUYER BEWARE!!!

During my original conversation with Loraina, I was told that the amount of the ticket would stay as a credit on my Cheap Ticket.com account. BUYER BEWARE!!! Which would be fine I still need to purchase a ticket. But when I go to use this credit, I would be subject to two more fees. an Airline fee of around $150.00 and an Agency fee of around $50.00 and any difference in fares. I do not believe in this circumstance, I should have been subject to those fees. I know that the courtesy cancel button was selected on 2/19/09 and as technical things can happen - the web site did not register the selection. In one email, a customer service representative Sam offered the probably explination for what happened: "I understand you attempted to courtesy cancel your reservation but the system might have timed out." BUYER BEWARE!!!

I objected the the fees being charged and suddenly, my account went from having a credit to there would be absolutely no refund. BUYER BEWARE!!! As Sam and several in the company wrote: I am sorry but we will be unable to give a refund for any part of the ticket." I tried to handle this at my level and expressed my feelings in several emails to various members in the company. They all had similar response, I will not get any refund and there is no service or alternative offered. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Cheaptickets.com has locked my account indicating their refusal to discuss this issue further with me. It just does not seem fair that they can take my money without offering any service. Seems that some service has to be provided for money. BUYER BEWARE!!!BUYER BEWARE!!!
