i purchased a new motorola razor v3 on saturday 2-14-09. the store clerk placed my company sims card into the phone for me. i headed out of town and later noticed the outside screen had a small crack at the bottom of it. then the next day that little crack ran into four cracks across the outside screen.i just bought this phone yesterday. i have not dropped it, abused it or anything. there is not a mark on this phone anywhere else. it is absolutely perfect except for the cracked screen. on monday i was back in town and called the store where i purchased the phone. i spoke to the assistant manager who told me to bring the phone and all accessories back. i explained that i could not get off work early enough to come in that it would be tuesday before i could come in. he told me that would be no problem. on my lunch break tuesday 2-17-09 i took the phone and charger back and of course the assistant manager was not there. i spoke to the manager, i got my wife on the phone and she too spoke with the manager and told my wife that they do not get damaged merchandise.(i have never seen any company not receive some damaged merchandise). she said the clerk said there was no damage when it was sold. Like he could really remember when we stood in line for almost thirty minutes before being helped because they were so busy. we were told that she would not exchange the phone. on top of that we could not return the phone because it was not in like new condition. (no joke its broken) if it wasnt broken i would be a happy camper. the manager told me that she would give us a 50.00 discount on a new phone. (hello this is a new phone!!)i just bought this one saturday. to top everything off, i went to att.com to see what i can have done and in order to CHAT with a representive you have to log into your account. HELLO it is a company sims card that i dont have access to so i cant log in to CHAT with a representive. so i call the toll free number, only to hear please enter the cellular number you are inquiring about and the last four digits of your social.here we go again its a company sims card so i cant access at&t over the phone either. i did not buy the sims card or the account i just bought the phone( which was obviously a big mistake) that had to have been broken before i bought it(next time i know to open the box and inspect everthing). now i am stuck with a broken new phone and a long list of websites to complain to. so much for being able to return a damaged product.
