I had my car serviced at Kost in March/April of this year. I had purchased 4 new tires and had my oil changed. The tires cost almost $400 for a Mazda Protege. At that time I asked them about my belts that once in a while squealed and my check engine light that came on. They told me that they did not do "check engine lights" but would take it to the local part store to have the codes read. Something that they never did. They changed my belts and I had to have them replaced in a week as they were worse than ever. This situation continued for more than 4 months. It seemed like every other week or so I had issues with my belts. The only quiet time I had was when my car was at the body shop for a month. This past month, I again took my car to Kost, taking an afternoon off from work to get the belts done again, oil changed and tires rotated. I was informed that my tires didn't look like they needed being rotated, even though it was more than 7000 miles. As for the belt issue, they played with it again. I was back at the store again within a week at which time a different manager told me to leave my car as they couldn't do anything without hearing it squeal. nevermind how I was supposed to get to work (more than 40 miles one way). I called the owner with my issues and was informed that I would have a return phone call within 24 hours. Now, two weeks later, I have not heard from anyone at Kost, even though they have all my phone numbers, not the manager, the owner, no one and my car squeals every day especially in the mornings. Never again to do business with them.
