Disneyland Parking

Disneyland CA
US

My family of 5 (including my mother) all have season passes that my husband & I purchased. I got my mothers pass about 2 weeks after we got the ones for us and the 2 kids, so she could take the kids when our work schedules dont permit. I also paid the parking at that time and it was put on her pass. On my sons last day of summer 8-25-09, I wanted to have a "date day" with him so just the 2 of us would have some bonding time before he started Jr High. Long story short, I took my mothers pass with us for the parking and was totally unaware that I wasnt able to use it even though it was the same family and I PAID FOR IT!! The parking attendant TOOK the PASS and WOULD NOT GIVE IT BACK. He said that for misuse it would be confiscated and basically my elderly mother would have to "jump through hoops" to get it back. I tried to explain that I did not know I couldnt use the parking permit for our immediate familys trips to the park. I was honest and told them we had used the same pass in the past and thought it was OK. I went through 3 managers trying to get it resolved all of which treated me like I was some hooigan trying to pull one of over on Disneyland. I offered to pay the 12 dollars for the parking and apologized several times for not knowing that the parking wasnt for the family only the person. (its not like it was a friend or neighbors pass). I truely didnt know - and now my Mother is going to be punished and made to look like some rule breaker even though she wasnt even there. I understand their policy - I always respect rules! I made an error because I didnt have all the information. I was tied up in the parking area for over an HOUR. All this over 12 dollars. People in my community would never treat anyone like that. If I had my business suit on would they have treated me differently? Did I look like some theif trying to avoid paying 12 bucks? I dont understand. Its still bothering me the next day & I can think of many ways it could have been handled differently. I really wish they would have informed me of the rules, I would have paid the 12 bucks and been able to move on. However that was not the case. The guest realtions ppl I contacted said it will be documented, and good bye. What kind of place/people is this???? Not so happy place for me.

You Should Take them to court for that if it didn't say on their policy they have no right to punish you for something you didn't know about like how the hell are you suppose to know.
