Below is my experience with Best Buy today.


10:00AM Saturday 8/22 I went to their Downingtown, PA location to look for a microwave and TV stand which I found. I bought the microwave and they told me they had 1 in inventory on the TV stand. When they checked there was no TV stand. The Sales person said there was 1 in inventory in King of Prussia, PA location and 2 in inventory in their Concord, DE location. I told them I would go to King of Prussia. The Sales person called there and after two phone calls, (they hung up the first time) they said they had none. I came home and ordered on line for pick up in Concord, DE but after an hour I got an email back saying they had none but that I could call their 888-237-8289 customer service number and I could either check another location or "have the item shipped via free standard shipping". I have the email to prove this. So I called the number to have the item shipped but the woman told me she could not have it shipped to my house but that the Pottstown, PA location has 1 in inventory. So after she gave me that phone number, I spent the next 2 hours calling them to make sure they had it. NO ONE PICKED UP THE PHONE! I tried every 20 minutes and stayed on the line for 10 minutes waiting for someone to pick up! Finally at 5:45PM a woman picked up and told me that their computer is not working so she couldn't check the inventory. I called the customer service line again 888-237-8289 and had a choice of going to their customer complaint relations or order phone line. I took the complaint line first, thinking I would get some satisfaction in my frustration after spending 8 hours trying to BUY a TV stand. Well, it was no better! The girl asked me what I wanted her to do?! CAN YOU IMAGINE!!!

I told her I wanted to order the stand via "free shipping" per email so she put me on hold for the next 3-5 minutes then transferred me to the order desk. So, you think this is the end, right? No, it's not. After telling them my address several times which they already had, they hung up on me!


Throughout this whole ordeal I was cool and calm, but not now. I'm just plain frustrated and exhausted. I don't have a TV stand which I still need and I am mentally drained with a headache that won't go away!
