FL MOVERS

FL MOVERS , Fl US Where to begin... My girlfriend and I used this company to move our things from two completely seperate cities (Rochester and Buffalo) to two completely seperate cities (Seattle and Denver respectively). Originally they had told us that we would receive a discount for both using the same company and told us our moves would cost 2000 and 1200 dollars. When I specifically and repeatedly asked a number of their “sales professionals” if this was an estimate or an exact number, they replied with their, now very apparent, company line of “IF YOUR INVENTORY DOES NOT CHANGE YOUR PRICE WILL NOT CHANGE”. A sales associate named Amy then went on to say “Ok the first thing the guy will do is look over all your stuff and pack only what is on the list you gave us, then if you have additional things it will be extra”. Sounds reasonable right. Well FIVE days before we were scheduled to move they called us and told us that unless we could change our move day to the day after tomorrow they could not move us (If only we were that lucky). Since the price they promised was a few hundred dollars lower than their competitors we stuck with them. When they showed up a very similar thing happened to us as it did to many other who are posting complaints about FL MOVERS on the internet, they loaded our things and jacked up the price by 50% ! All our struggles to get our things packed, all the rushing we did for what to get ripped off by the scam artists. On top of that the guy insisted that a tip was “mandatory” and should be between 15-25%...yeah right. When I called him out on this he backed off his claim but became agitated. This fiasco has not yet culminated as I sit here and write this complaint. As you would imagine, the moving company screwed up and shipped all of my things to my girlfriends place in Seattle and shipped all of her things to me in Denver. After calling the company repeatedly to request compensation for the significant delay in the shipment of our items as well as for both the advancement of the original moving day and the overcharge by thousands of dollars we were continually hung up on and dismissed. PLEASE DO NOT USE FL MOVERS for anything. From: Message Author (click here to email author) Date: Friday, 21-Aug-09 21:21:08 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
