Rooms to go delivery
|
US I bought a dining table and chairs from Rooms-to-go, a furniture company in the South. I bought them from a store in TN, had them delivered to my house on the day that I was moving to another state. I received them, all very thoroughly packed. So I could not check the furniture when I received them. I moved up to Wisconsin and unpacked the chairs, and realized that one of the four chairs had a different color than what I ordered. I ordered four chocolate leather chair, but I got three chocolate and one wine colored chair. I contacted the sales person that I bought the furniture from, and I got responses after a week as below: I have two options; one is that they will deliver a new right chocolate chair and pick up the old, wrong wine chair but I have to pay $399.99. The other option is that they can deliver a new chair through greyhound and I deliever back the wrong chair in the same way, and I need to pay the cost of doing that, which is $90. Rooms-to-go is a furniture company in the south and they don't deliver upto WI usually. Their rationale is that if I had stayed in TN, they would have delivered a right chair at no costs. But as I moved, they should charge me about that. Basically, they are not taking any responsibilites for their mistakes and all the incoveniences that I have to deal with due to their mistakes. They are telling me to take responsibilities for their mistakes and my moving. How can I solve this problem? I want them to deliver the right chair and pick up the wrong one, at their cost.
