ASUS does not honor warranties - boycott them

CS5111 ASUS Computer International 800 Corporate Way Fremont, CA US asus.com THe disc drive in my CS5111 desktop went bad after a few weeks. I returned it to ASUS 3 times and thy could not fix it. I proclaimed this entitled me ot a new replacement. ASUS chose to send me 3 different beat-up, defective refurbished units that had been used toreplace my brand new computer. Then Shanelle Randisi and Robert Diaz, supervisors in Customer Care and Technical Support, lied to say that I should not have gotten a replacement and the warranty did not allow replacement when it plainly does. THey are not honorable. I will get justice ad I will get even though. From the very first time I received the notebook in the mail brand new and turned it on, I had cooling fan issues and the touchpad never worked correctly. The fan ran really loud when I'd power on the notebook, to the point you'd be embarrased to be in a library with it and the touchpad arrow did not follow my finger without jumping around the screen. I sent it back and forth to the Asus repair center in Jeffersonville, IN four times before the issues were corrected. After receiving back the second time and the issues hadn't been resolved, I called the customer service center and they said they had no record of having ever received it! Well, I've got all of the FedEx reciets to prove it but they didn't care. Each time I'd get it back from the repair center and the issues still weren't resolved, I'd call and tell them I want a replacement when it clearly stated that as part of the warranty policy on the warranty card that came in the box. The probablems with my computer were finally fixed but after going back and forward through the mail so many times becasue they wouldn't fix or replace immediately, it is now beat up and looks like it's five years old. Plus, I didn't have a working computer for the first four months which hindered my bussiness productivity. Not the way I expect a $950 computer (I upgraded to 500 GB 7200 rpm hard drive) to look or perform. Robert Diaz is a crook!!! I can confirm that Robert Diaz is a liar AND a crook. Asus produces junk that is not sold or supported properly. Retailer and manufacturer both refused to refund, even though they can admit to have sold and supported the item incorrectly. They have been reported here as well: http://forums.cnet.com/5208-7586_102-0.html?messageID=3108989&tag=forums06;posts#3108989 "Shanelle Randisi and Robert Diaz are ASUS employees who dont know the warranty for the Essentio desktop and will not honor it." http://forums.cnet.com/5208-7586_102-0.html?messageID=3108989&tag=forums06;posts#3108989 "I can confirm that Robert Diaz is a liar AND a crook. Did not even know the terms of the warranty prior to refusing what it promises to the consumer. Even asked me to email it to him. Also misinterprets warranty because he doesnt know jack about it." http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus/413829-tell-us-your-asus-rma-experience.html#post5264647 "After a months and 2 weeks of RMA, its getting on my nerves." http://forum.notebookreview.com/what-notebook-should-i-buy/157268-asus-g1.html#post2387875 "The gentlemans name at Asus was Robert Diaz. Today I called them and it got even worse. I was told the same thing on the phone by Robert who said he doesnt think it is fair but that is the agreement Best Buy made with Asus." "That is totally unacceptable. To make things worse, when I returned that laptop today I got charged $240 because the laptop was not defective. As a technician, I could have easily made it defective but Im an honest person. There was no arguing with 2 different managers at 2 different locations. Fedex tracker said it was left at my front door. Well they were wrong. So my laptop was lost. That just starts to get me mad. A day later they find my laptop and I get it back. I turn it on and my lcd screen doesnt work. Now that really pisses me off. I call them back get another rma and ship the laptop back out. http://www.notebookforums.com/thread208722.html "Well today i received my laptop again this time fedex was no trouble (amazingly). I turn on my laptop and I notice that it works. But all the way around my touchpad there is a ton of scratches. It looks like someone took a screw driver right to the touch pad to pry it up. Theres probably 30 scratches around it. The touchpad itself also scratched. Just to add to it the touchpad is very loose like I can move the pad itself and it makes a loud clicking noise when you barely touch it."
