same same US I ordered the magic jack via the internet. Before it came they charged me $39.95. The agreement was that you could have it for 30 days to try free before you bought it. I am a senior citizen and the time slipped by. I could not find a spot to plug it in my computer and would like my money back but they will not refund. There was a chat site and she refused to give me an address or a person I could talk to other than her. I am on a fixed income and would like my money back. She said if I returned the jack I still would not get my money. Every time I contacted them via their website (chat is only method of contact), they blamed one thing or another on my computer. Even though I used it on multiple pc's, same issues, they still blame drivers of another device. Sometimes it would work, sometimes not. If I reboot my computer, it worked most of the time. But if it didn't, I would contact tech support and get this run-around. Finally, I got fed up and told them to cancel (2 months before renewal). Instead of canceling, they renewed my service for another year, charging my cc w/o my authorization! Long story short, I cancelled my card. I did not ask for autorenew but they still charged my card! This is FRAUD! Sure, tell your friends, DON'T USE MAGIC JACK! BTW, you cannot fax with Magic Jack. However, this POS installs itself as several devices, imbeds deep in your computer's registry and is a major resource hog! Once I removed all traces of this garbage, my computers worked fine again. They should be put out of business and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for fraud! It wasn,t. One guy took a box to europe and had no problems. Heard all about dropped calls and other problems. "blackbox" possibly a little "under-engineered?" DId the inventor sell his rights to that software co.?
