i shipped a box of fish from alaska to wisconsin with ups and because the fish took 6 days to get to wis. they arrived spoiled. i submitted a claim and they turned it down. they claim they do not honor claims for perishable items. if the fish had arrived in three days like i was told they would the product would not have spoiled. in tracking the product, it was evident that it was not shipped direct and was held up for a time which led to the delay in arriving. the scan read "emergency conditions beyond ups' control". i made a claim for $331 which included $240 for loss of 25lb. of salmon, $76 shipping cost and $15 for the frozen fish box.
