Overcharge from TXU and foreign job security
|
TXU TXU US www.txu.com I have been getting Electric bills that are nearly double that of my neighbors with the same provider, TXU Energy. I have tried multiple times to reach someone to discuss the problems with my bill but I continually get someone from another country who does not understand me and I cannot understand them. After doing some digging I discovered that the TXU phone number for current customers goes to South America and you cannot get an American on the line to handle your calls. I did get the US phone number which is 800-246-5824. Long story but the summary is this. I was put on a plan that charges me over 15 cents per KWH. The rate currently is 9.8 cents. This makes a difference of nearly $200 per month in my bill. THe South American number put me on the 15+ cent plan and would do nothing to help alleviate the situation. I have spent over 4 months working on this and finally got my plan converted to 9.8 cents per KWH. I called the "CQ" department to discuss my dissatisfaction and ask for some consideration on my bill due to the fact that the problem was generated byu THEIR FOREIGN EMPLOYEES. I was told NO. "THey already charged me and I already paid." I would not recommend TXU for anything. I am currently shopping other electric providers and suggest you do the same.
