Google Profit runs and ad online which leads one to believe that they are Google.

They offer to send a CD which outlines how one can make money online using Google. The cost was $1.97. I did order it, and shortly after receiving the CD, a Charge of $47.50 was on my account. I called the number on the outside of the CD envelope and spoke with a very controlling, non-listener who claims that I clicked a button stating that I had read the terms which clearly stated that I would be charged $47.50 regularly. To me, it was nowhere on that site, and if it was, it was in such small letters, and so obscured, that no one could have seen it. When I complained to her about this practice she became really beligerent, and authoritative. I asked for a supervisor and was told there is no one that I may speak with. If I have any complaints I deal with her. She said that they are not Google, and not affiliated with Google. She refused to refund my $47.50, but grudgingly agreed to cancel any future charges. They said no need for a website, but you must use Clickbank, then reading the requirements with Clickbank, it seems that you must have a website, and it must be hosted. When mentioning this she said "well we are not Clickbank!"

Hope Google is aware of this scam.

I too went to the same website & paid the $1.97 for shipping of the CD. Two weeks later a charge of $47.50 was debited from my checking account. When I called I was told it was in the small print on the website however I scanned the website carefully before submitting my CC info & could not find any thing related to future fees. Also I was unable to print the website. When I called I asked about when & how much more money they would take from my account..I was told $47.50 & it would come out 1 month from the initial $47.50 but that I could call & cancel at any time. Two weeks later they took $99.00 from my account. After 1 week of trying to call the number and the mail box was full for 3 days, I finally got through & again I was told I agreed to this charge when I paid the initial $1.97 on their website. I was also told this was non-refundable. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told they were all in meetings but I could call back. The lady I spoke with said she would email the agreement of Terms of Service to me. When I received this email it was very long & I know this was not something that showed up on the website however in the agreement it does mention a non-refundable $99 fee & the monthly $47.50 charge. I do not for one minute believe this was accessible to me when I agreed to submit payment.

I will be calling back to speak to a manager however I suspect I am just another victim here.

Do not subscribe to Google Profits unless you are prepared to have them debit your account for whatever you supposedly agreed to.
