Dell Computers No Customer Service
|
Dell Inspiron Laptop Dell non available to consumer unknown, un unknown US www.dell.com I purchased a Dell Laptop Computer in 2007 through my employer (government branch) because Dell offered a 10% discount through the employee program. Last night my battery was blinking and I got a message that it was not recognized by my computer (after 2 years) and would not accept the charge. I never take the computer anywhere and have never needed the battery. I thought if I did need to take it sometime that I would contact Dell and ask if I needed to purchase a new battery, how much they were and if this was the message the computer sent out when the battery needed to be replaced. The representative would not even talk to me until I gave her my service tag support number and then proceeded to tell me that my service contract expired and she could not help me unless I purchased a new one. since it was the weekend I called the Customer Service number that I finally found on the following Monday and they transfered me to tech support where I started this process last night. BTW they put me on hold for over 15 minutes so I hung up. With the awful economy and all the competition for computers you would think this company could answer a simple question. I was very nice and told them I will NEVER purchase another Dell product and I mean it. I will be telling everyone I come in contact with at work and in my private life about my experience and to "STAY CLEAR OF DELL" products unless they always have a paid warranty contract in place.
