Refusal to replace a defective item because of a cardboard box issue. Payment is still expected and Newegg is returning the defective item back to me after I paid $30 to return it to them. Very, very poor customer service. I encourage everyone to beware of Newegg.com

I've heard many similar complaints from my friends and associates. I believe "Rottenegg" is more fitting than Newegg. If they think this kind of service will accelerate their bottom line, they are badly mistaken. It will soon come back and bite them in the bottom. I encourage every one to share your negative experiences about Newegg's horrible customer service. I know of least 17 people who will NEVER buy anything from them again and who knows how many will follow by word of mouth? A LOT I hope.

I had a similar experience. It was never resolved and I ended up paying for something that was defective upon delivery. I didn't want to have my credit rating affected so I paid for it anyway. Newegg.com touts their excellent customer service but it's a false claim. Their people are high school dropouts at best and I encourage everyone to steer clear of this online atrocity.
