Purchased a Nikon D80 11-28-06 with a 5 year extended warranty. The first time I experienced a problem was with my data card. It would not stay on the slot. They told me that was a user error and would not be covered.

Now, my lenses won't focus and I tried calling today and neither company are in business. This camera was expensive and I would like to be able to get it fixed

Does anyone know if maybe another company purchased the warranties as circuit city Sis when they went out of business?

I would be glad to be involved in a law suit I'd one has been started. I just want my camera ti work without an out of pocket expense.

I don't think you need to be involved in a law suit.

It looks like a company called Assurant Solutions took over CC's CityAdvantage warranties.

I'd try going to www.assurantsolutions.com and assurant.com to see if you can get a phone number or any help there. I don't know which one of their websites deals with the CC plans.
