Lug-Nuts.net Rip-Off

I placed an order through Lug-Nuts.net for items for my truck. Payment was made at the same time via PayPal. Lug-Nuts.net processed the payment through PayPal the same day as the order. I awaited receipt of my order.

After two weeks with no receipt of items I called number supplied on web site. Company indicated they would check on order and call back. No call back.

I again called two days later. Was told that items had shipped via Priority Mail three business days earlier. Called back after two more days when items still not received. Company indicated they would check and call back. No call back with information.

Company has not responded to e-mails and phone calls. Trying to get a refund but can't get a reply.

In my opinion Lug-Nuts.net is a Rip-Off!

Agreed, this guy Michael Klott is a joke, he rips off most of the people he has worked with and makes promises he will never keep. He also owns FTW Adapters & tries to run wholesale and retail sites. This joker has over 20 retail websites up and running.

Mike purchased software from me for his website. He is now demanding a full refund and threatening to sue me for "loosing thousands of dollars per day".

He refuses to identify the software issue or let me verify it, demanding that I issue the refund within 24hrs or suit will be filed. Its lovely to see that he conducts business with his customers by slinging poorly constructed sentences laced with vulgarity.

I am jumping through hoops to try and get him to demonstrate an issue with my software, but he refuses. I thought justices usually required some sort of proof.

I hate to provide this thread with any form of validity, but considering my name is plastered on this thread that is completely unrelated to me, I thought I should respond. First off, I was not the original poster, nor was I the individual that Mike Klott has "responded" to. However, given the character traits that one of the respondents described, I would have to concur that they know Mike pretty well. As one of the posters predicted, the immediate response from Mike was to start name calling. If Mike had just remained professional and contacted me to see if it was in fact me that posted, I could have clarified that it was not. I must admit, I have shared information regarding the following experience to several individuals, but I did not write the post that Mike is accusing me of. For reasons described below, he refused to first contact me and began this "smear campaign" which is somewhat laughable.

Moving forward, I would like to explain the situation that Mike has alluded to. I was never his "web designer", just a friend helping out. The truth of the matter is, when you are not paying anything to have an ecommerce site created, you're not top priority. At his request, I created several sites at my leisure. At no time did we enter into a work contract or agree to project payment. In addition, I provided several print advertisements and graphics for several of his business needs. Again, for free. Not only did I set up an ebay store, create all of the listings (100+), but I also provided a PayPal account for him as he couldn't qualify due to credit reasons. Again, I did all of this for free. What did Mike do in return; stopped paying the ebay /paypal fees and tried to saddle me with the $1,000+ bill. The ebay store allowed him to turn nearly a $30,000 profit.

The second issue at hand is his "friend" that I screwed $50,000 out of. Just like before, exaggeration and misguided information to help justify this unprofessional tirade. I created an extremely profitable ecommerce site for an individual. At his and his employee's request, a transition to a new ecommerce platform was made. Half way through the transition, I was not provided with updated product information and work was halted until more information was received. As the product information trickled in, I made the adjustments and continued work. Towards the end of the project, he stopped paying and I stopped work. Plain and simple, if you can't pay for the work, the work doesn't get done.

One item that Mike was able to get correct is that I do resell Godaddy web services. However, I do not resell them with any markup. Any project that I work on that doesn't already have hosting services or a domain secured, I set up a wholesale account and give the client the services at cost. I don't push or require it, so if someone finds a better price, go for it.

I have struggled for a month or so to even respond to this as I am sure unjustified name calling will pursue, but I felt that I needed to provide some truth to this complaint. Also, I have plenty of references and examples of work (both paid and free) that can be provided if requested.

Lastly, I have one complaint about this website. How can any website that doesn't require users to provide some sort of validity to their statements be taken serious? The concept of providing a place for dialog between companies is genuine, but not when it is tainted by ridiculous rants from unprofessional people looking to take "digital revenge". That's just my two cents.

First off this is Mike Klott the owner of all of the sites above including FTW . Im mot here to rip off anyone. I have a quality product that I sell at extremely good prices. As for the guy that says I have bad credit and cant have a paypal account and ebay account theirs no truth to that. I have a successful wholesale division and occasionally an order will get misplaced and not shipped, as for that Im human and errors due occur.

Back to the guy that said I have crappy product why don't we talk about him. He was my old web designer Matthew Wehrly who talks a good game like he knows what to do but he starts a web project but doesn't have enough experience to finish them. This clown charged a customer over $50k and the customer never even got a finished website. This guy is the biggest hack out there and then doesn't even have the balls to come out, he has to hide anonymously behind his email. Grow a pair of balls Matthew Wehrly and take some web design classes before you tell somebody your a web designer. Your nothing but a weekend wannabe web designer. This guys such a piece of work he uses his reseller program thru godaddy to even screw his customers out of more money.

Yeah, I did a little search before i bought from this guy and this site popped up. I checked out all of the other sites he has and it seems like he is trying to sell wholesale and retail. Either way, when you search around, on each of his sites there is a link to a company and the contact name is cfotuna AT blahblah.....

That wouldn't happen to be you chris would it? I would bet that the post from "chris" is the web company that "designed" lugh-nuts.net and all of the other sites that are linked.

I have done business with FTW & Mike for a little over a year and have never had an issue with receiving product or payments from him or FTW.

If what you are saying even has any truth to it, I would send him an email or give him a call and I am more than sure he will take care of whatever issue you are having with your order.

Chances are that your a competitor and you are trying to slander because they provide better products at cheaper prices than your company can offer.

I would recommend them to anyone!!!!

Yeah, Mike Klott is a real piece of work. His other business FTW Adapters is just as bad.

I think he is getting ready to roll out another crappy product line called gaugewerks.com.

All of his stuff is imported and less quality than the Canadian or American counter parts.
