AIRLINE KEPT 600 DOLLARS

PASSENGER JET UNITED AIRLINES PO BOX 66100 CHICAGO, IL 60666 US UNITED.COM AUGUST 12, 2009 I HAVE A SERIOUS COMPLAINT! I PURCHASED A TICKET FOR MY WIFE TO COME VISIT ME AND SHE HAD AN EMERGENCY AND COULDN'T MAKE THE FLIGHT NOR WAS SHE ABLE TO CALL AND CANCEL RIGHT AWAY. I DIDN'T FIND OUT UNTIL THE FOLLOWING DAY OF HER SITUATION WITH GRANDCHILDREN WHICH THE CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES TOOK FROM HER DAUGHTER, HENCE THE EMERGENCY! I'M APPAULD TO THINK THAT SUCH A BIG AIRLINE SUCH AS UNITED WOULD JUST STEAL MONIES NOT USED BECAUSE THE FLIGHT WASN'T CANCELED IN TIME. THEY ASSURED ME THAT ALTHOUGH THERE WOULD BE PENALTIES FOR SUCH A THING THE DIFFERENCE WOULD BE HELD AS CREDIT FOR FUTURE USE OF ANOTHER FLIGHT WITHIN 12 MONTHS, IF THIS IS THE MANNER IN WHICH YOU DO BUSINESS THEN WE AS A CONSUMER ARE IN DEEP TROUBLE! I PURCHASED THIS TICKET ON MY EMPLOYERS CREDIT CARD IT WAS ALMOST 600 DOLLARS AT THAT TIME UPON CALLING I WAS TOLD BY HOTWIRE THAT THEY WOULD KEEP 100 DOLLARS FOR CANCELATION FEES AND THEN LIKE WISE UNITED ALSO DID. NOW THE TOTAL AMOUNT LOST WAS ALMOST 150 DOLLARS STILL LEAVING A BALANCE I WAS TOLD OF 450. WHERE IS THIS 450?!!! MY WIFE TRIED TO BOOK A FLIGHT AND USE THE CREDIT AND SHE WAS TOLD YOU ARE NOT HONORING THE CREDIT. I WANT A PARTIAL REFUND OR ALLOW MY WIFE TO NOW USE THE DIFFERENCE TO BOOK A FLIGHT. THIS IN MY OPINION IS THEIVERY AND BAD BUSINESS. YOU CANNOT JUST KEEP MONEY JUST BECAUSE IT'S NOT BEING USED! WE ARE APART BECAUSE THE ECONOMY IS BAD AND I COULD ONLY FIND WORK IN WYOMING, I HAD TO USE A COMPANY CREDIT CARD AND PAY THE COMPANY BACK ALL MONIES AND WE LOST ALL 600 DOLLARS!! THESE ARE BAD TIMES AND YOU HAVE THE NERVE TO STEAL FROM ALREADY STRUGGLING POOR PEOPLE. THE FACT IS THAT THEY ARE NOT HONORING THEIR WORD ON THE CREDIT AND I WILL BE REPORTING THIS TO OUR LOCAL NEWPAPERS (SACRAMENTO AND CASPER) AS WELL AS THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREA, DELTA IS BY FAR A BETTER AIRLINE AND AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED TRUSTWORTHY AND HONORS ALL THEY SAY, THE FIRST TIME I DECIDE TO USE UNITED THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT ME? THE MONIES CAME OUT OF MY POCKET NOT HERS BUT BECAUSE THE TICKET WAS IN HER NAME SHE LOST AND I LOST 600 DOLLARS. SOMEONE NEEDS TO CALL ME RIGHT AWAY! I NEED TO SPEAK TO A PERSON OF AUTHORITY IN THESE MATTERS; I WILL ALSO BE CONTACTING THE PRESIDENT OF THE COMPANY AND ALL OTHERS IN THE CHAIN OF COMMAND WITH LETTERS AND FAXES. THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING; THIS IS A CAN OF WORMS THAT A SUCCESSFUL AIRLINE SUCH AS YOURS SHOULD NEVER EVEN CONSIDER OPENING IN THIS TIME AND DAY. PEOPLE ARE FICKEL AND THIS TYPE OF BUSINESS IS WHY, NOT TO MENTION OUR NATIONS ECONOMY IS STRUGGLING AND PEOPLE HAVE TO LEAVE THEIR FAMILIES TO FIND JOBS IN OTHER PARTS OF THE COUNTRY. I FEEL THIS ALSO SHOULD BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION WHILE YOUR BOOKING FLIGHTS, SOME PEOPLE ARE AWAY FROM THEIR FAMILIES BECAUSE THEY NEED TO FEED THEM AND THAT MEANS WE DEPEND ON YOU TO GET US TO EACH OTHER DURING TIMES ALLOWED TO SEE EACH OTHER, NOT KEEP OUR MONEY FOR UNFORSEEN PROBLEMS WITH FAMILY ESPECIALLY CHILDREN. HOW COULD YOU JUST KEEP THAT MUCH MONEY???? THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION.
