The Simpsons Ride Universal Studios Orlando Florida Resort 1000 Universal Studios Plaza Orlando, FL 32819 US www.universalstudios.com My 7 year old little girl and family was kicked out of Universal Studios Theme Park in Orlando, Florida on Sunday August 9, 2009 for screaming on The Simpsons Roller Coaster Thrill Ride. Yes it is true my daughter has been traumatized after being verbally abused, cursed, and degraded by a woman on the Simpsons Ride in Orlando, FL on this past Sunday for screaming while sitting and riding The Simpsons Ride. We were sitting behind another family and during the ride the lady turned and said something but my daughter nor I heard her In fact, my daughter never even saw her turn to her as she was enjoying the ride itself. At the conclusion of the ride the lady turned around and said to my daughter, "Did you really have to scream that F**king loud? I said to her "Yes she did lady, this is a little girl on a thrill ride and we paid enough money for her to be able to enjoy herself and yell on the ride if she chose to do so. The lady started cursing, swearing, and saying tons of awful and mean things to me about my child calling her a F**king Bratt, D*mn idiot, and all sorts of things. At that point of course I had to stand up for my child and I asked her to stop and told her she was being mean and evil. This vicious and obscene rant went on by this woman for some time and not one employee came over to help or see what was happening, afterall the ride was over and we were still up there. Finally, once I could get out of the ride and onto Central Park area I went to a Park Employee and asked her for help and told her that we had just been verbally assaulted and threatened by other park visitors, I told her I feared they would get away and I needed Universal Security Officers immediately. The lady refused to help me and instructed me to go inside one of the Stores and ask someone else to call for Security. I could not believe that as I feared for my Families safety the Universal Employee refused to help us. I followed the lady and her Husband and their 2 kids until I found someone to help and finally Park Security came. The Officer that originally resonded was actually quite pleasant and professional. Then he called for a Supervisor once he heard what had happened. Sgt. Slater arrived and heard both sides as the lady and her Husband stated she suffers from "MIGRAINE HEADACHES" and my daughter was screaming way too loud. Sgt. Slaters' advice to me was to forget about all that had happened, just drop it, and we both should just go our seperate ways because as far as he was concerned we were both equal combatants and I could have just walked away when she started cursing, swearing, and yelling at my child and I. I refused to accept this and requested him to please call the Orlando Police Department for me. He did not want to and tried talking me out of it stating that it was a waste of time because these things happen there in the park at Universal Studios all the time. Sgt. Slater refused to allow me to review the Video Survelliance footage stating it was only for them to Review in cases of "Accidents and Injuries" and he stated it would not be helpful. He was no help at all. My family and I were finally escorted by the wonderful original responding Officer (named Xavier) to the back Security Offices behind some buildings where we met with another Security Worker whose name tag said "Al". Al was unwilling to allow us to review the Survelliance to prove what had occured as well stating it would not matter. Finally, Orlando Police Officer MPO. Michael Ross arrived and said a TP which I now know is a Trespass would be given to her, but Universal Policy states that I would also have to get one as well. So we were kicked off the Property (1 year) for reporting and demanding a Report be filed and refusing to just allow this lady and her Husband get away with what they had done to my family. We were escorted back to the Parking Garage and told not to Stay Off the property located at Universal Orlando 1000 Universal Studios Plaza Orlando, Florida to include Universal Studios, Citywalk, Parking, Islands Of Adventures, Resort Hotels, and "ALL" Universal Orlando Property. This was a vacation from hell. There were some Universal Employees that said to me how sorry they were and that I should report this incidence to News Media because my Safety and that of my family was put in jeopardy and we were getting a raw deal. Even two of the Security Officers stated they too had kids and I did the right thing to demand action. Unfortuneately the action meant everyone was barred and put out. Please go to Disney and stay away from Universal if your safety and that of your loved ones and friends are important to you. Universal Studios exercised both bad judgement and wreckless behavior on Sunday August 9, 2009 by not assisting us when the original request for HELP was made and again by refusing to be transparent and showing the Video Survelliance. I am willing to bet you that if someone says they were physically injured on or by any one of the rides at Universal Studios or Islands of Adventures they would be more than happy to show the Survelliance Tapes. This wasn't going to help matters. Yes, the woman was inappropriate but so were you. You are responsible for your child, and if your daughters actions were annoying another park visitor because of her excessive noise then you should have asked your daughter not to scream so loud. How hard could that possibly have been? You were not the only one who paid a lot of money to enjoy that park, but your enjoyment was causing the discomfort of another patron.
