I got a call from Victoria Secret credit card customer service saying my account is in collection since I didn't make payment. I told them I haven't received statements yet. However, the lady who called me said they have mailed the statements. She said I reopened the card in June and we had two statements in June and July. Later, her supervisor was rude to me and said they mailed three statements and it's not their fault that I didn't receive any of them. Well, I cannot prove how many statements they mailed. I agree that there are a lot of reasons that I didn't receive the statements. I am very upset that they treated me as some person who was trying to get away from the payment. I have decent job and $ 60 is not a big deal. I understand that they might deal with some people who default the payment but they cannot treat everyone like this. I had experience that I forgot to pay one payment or delayed to pay. Every time, the customer service people are nice to me and understand sometimes people forget things. They try to help their customers. However, it's not the case with VS credit card customer service. I am not a criminal. I hope they can waive all my late charges since it's not my intention to delay the payment. They did waive one but they charged me $ 10 to pay through the phone. Well, they didn't offer me address that I can pay through mail or pay online. All they care about was me paying right now through the phone. I was very sad that I got treated like this. I paid $ 30 extra but it's not about money. They cold voice hurt my feeling. I will close VS card and don't want to deal with them anymore. I don't know whatever bank/credit union they are with but considering the high competition among financial service industry, I think the company should train their employees to be a little bit nicer to their customers. We are not trying to get away from our responsibility to make payment. Sometimes things happened and as a big company, should they concern a $ 20 late fee more than losing customers?

I had a similar awful experience with my Victoria's Secret credit card. My first billing statements never came, and instead I got saddled with a LOT of late fees. The customer service number was not helpful at all. I wrote letters, but they "didn't have any record" of them. My original purchase was $20 and I ended up paying a ton more just so that the stupid creditors would stop calling. No one I spoke to there did anything to rectify the situation.

I agree...I missed a payment by mistake and I recieved nasty phone calls from them, making up lies about things I never agreed to doing. I know times are hard but some people need some home training...I am appalled by them and I will just rip my card up...never will I have there credit card again....
