ISLAND IMPORTER SUCKS

Island importer is simply bad company.

I was a groomsman at a wedding several weeks ago. We were trying to make a decision on if we had to order one more outfit at nearly the last minute for a really expensive price and we called them. They acted like they could definitely get the item there, but the day of the wedding it turned out they had miscommunicated with UPS and it was never shipped!! Now that it was REALLY the last minute, we had to go out and hunt around for like clothes. MISERABLE.

They sent us two confirmation emails, but both had wrong tracking #s!!

This basically ruined photo sessions for them.

BEWARE This company, they have extremely poor customer service and were rude when we first explained what had happened to them on Monday (two days after the wedding because there isnt a phone number to reach them on weekends!). After they were rude, and we responded back, they simply stopped responding at all and didnt refund anything for the initial clothes.

Honestly, just an overall disheartening experience. I would have just gone to the mall to pick up matching clothes, but they sent me two confirmation emails saying it shipped and told me over the phone that it was coming!

THIS COMPANY IS RIDICULOUS - They posted the same nonsense on scams.com where I also ratted them out.

Blatant lie huh? Why do you provide nothing but saying I am a liar? You are an online retailer and so came across this link via google - but please defend your position?

What did I lie about?

Fact - You sent me 2 confirmation emails on Friday and said that the item shipped. See PROOF ATTACHED!

Fact - You bungled the shipping with UPS even though I paid you a ton of money to ensure it was correct

Fact - You reimbursed the items that were never shipped - Of course you did! You had to, or I would have sicked AMEX on you!

Fact - You have never taken any responsibility or admitted fault in this matter.

Fact - You are not even registered in the BBB, which I tried to report you to. The only address I could ever find for you has an apartment number!

These are indisputable.

You told me you could drop ship the items, then never communicated that they would not make it. FURTHER, you sent me the wrong friggin tracking #s so after hours wasted trying to track the packages with UPS I got nowhere.

While all this was happening, you NEVER called me back. You didn't even call me until Monday, when I was home from the wedding. Any reputable retailer will have emergency contact information or even an answering service that contacts representatives on a Saturday or Sunday - especially one that caters to weddings!!!!!! When do you think Weddings take place? Not Mon-Fri, 9-5.

You didn't supply me with correct information, the information you supplied was incorrect and the bottom line is you didn't deliver the package.

And you never bothered to make any type of restitution to me. For instance, allowing me to send back the first items I purchased for the wedding which were obviously never worn, or some sort of good faith gesture of customer service - never happened.

You are a fly-by-night shop, and hopefully people who search your name know it now.
