Two weeks ago, I called Sears Home Repair to schedule the repair of my refrigerator. My call was answered by a call center. An appt was scheduled and I paid the fee up front. My appts have been cancelled by the company 5 times! The one time the tech did come he replaced the fan. I said it still doesn't seem right and he said oh no it will be fine. Well, it wasn't fine, it still doesn't work! I am self-employed so every time I schedule a service appt I have to redo my work schedule. I can understand once, maybe twice - but 6 times in 2 weeks and they want me to keep making appts with them. I have tried to talk to someone in the company to sort this out, but I keep getting passed around the people at the call center who never seem to deviate from their scripts! DO NOT USE this company! I assumed that I could depend upon Sears and they would be honest, I was very wrong. Don't make the same mistake.

I am experiencing a similar situation. I made the appointment for furnace repair. My motor died, so they say. The first tech says it's the motor, i too paid upfront. He orders the part ,it comes one week later. They rescheduled another tech cancelled and rescheduled again. Mine you it was really hot and humid weather. It was very uncomfortable without the air conditioning.(i had no moter). The new tech comes fiddle with furnance it comes on. So,i said why was the part ordered, he says, it was misdiagnosed. Then says you know I could be wrong, goes back to the basement and says,oh he was right it just died again. Then he proceeds to open the box that contained the replacement part only to tell me the wrong part was ordered. He calls his company,orders what he says is the right part and charges me an additional amount,which i paid and yet i have to wait another 2 weeks for repair. I am very displeased, uncomfortable and feel scammed. I called and complained , of course all i heard was so sorry we can only do the best we can. Are there no honest people in this business!
