Walmart

I received an ILO Tv purchased through walmart.com as a gift back in July 2007. I had no use for the TV until June of 2008 and I took it out of the package and plugged it in and it worked for 15 minutes and shut off. I tried to return it to my local walmart and called a rep at walmart.com to see if I could get a store credit or refund and I was refused. The return policy clearly states that damaged or defective equipment can be returned for a refund and the people at walmart refused to honor the return policy and turned me away.

I agree this person is rude..you don't deserve gifts..who waits a year indeed?? Btw my beef is with the people who stand at the door laying in wait for shoppers with returns..they jump in front of you and in a too loud voice snap "how many?" meaning how many items are you returning? Then, when you tell them they remove those little pink sometimes blue stickers then they proceed to put them directly over the upc bar code so we shoppers are forced to stand there like idiots while the customer service rep attempts to peel the sticker off..one sticker actually tore up and I had to wait while she retrieved another one.. one such greeter actually put the sticker close to the edge of the price tag and I thought great finally someone who knows what he's doing..wrong he then proceeded to fold the sticker over attaching the other end to the back of the tag....ugghhh!

Who waits over a year to return a defective tv..Walmart allows returns for defective merchandise up to only 90 to 120 days..I can't believe you had soo little respect for the gift giver as to wait a whole year to open the gift and use it..you should have opened it immediately and made sure it at least worked before packing it away for later use..dumbshit you are in the wrong here..and if I had given you that tv you would never have gotten another gift from me!!
