Jeff Gordon dome tent davestools.com zipcode 92806 Anaheim, Ca 92806 US www.davestools.com I ordered a dome tent (Jeff Gordon), July 24th 2008, and funds were taken from my account July 28th, 2008. I still have not received the tent. I received word that the tent was on back order, early August 08, indicating delivery in 2-3 weeks. It is now Oct 6, 08 and I have no tent and tenting season is over. I emailed them, with my complaint, demanding tent or money back. They do not respond, at all. I paid for software and it was faulty from one of their merchants. I also found that the software was a pirated version of someone elses and still no refund from moneybookers. Do NOT deal with this company. They care nothing for the consumer. I checked with MoneyBookers (the people you pay for the merchandise), who recently said the following when I asked if I could get a refund through them -- wasn't really sure it would work, but figured I'd give it a try after I saw someone else had somehow tried that successfully over at Yahoo! Answers. *** from MoneyBookers *** Thank you for your recent contact regarding a refund of a payment for goods purchased from davestools.com, where you have experienced a non-delivery of the goods. After careful consideration of your request, we are sorry that we can not agree to your request for a refund. Our Terms and Conditions, that you have accepted when opening an account with Moneybookers Limited, clearly state the following in 12.6: “Moneybookers' Service is limited to providing Customer with a payment facility and does not ensure the quality, safety or legality of the transaction Customer is undertaking. The Company does not have any responsibility for any goods or services for which Customer pays using the Moneybookers Service and will not be liable for any charges, taxes or other duties in relation to such goods or services.” Only in exceptional circumstances do we refund payments of customers and on this occasion we feel it would be unfair to the other members of the Moneybookers payment system, who find themselves in a similar situation and whose claims still remain. We realize that our answer will disappoint you; however, we trust we have clarified our position. *** end MoneyBookers reply *** So, anyway, yeah, that's where mine stands. My order was processed, charged, and I had originally received auto-respond messages and status update notifications (from "Pending" to "Confirmed"), but I still haven't received the order, and all of my e-mails to DavesTools.com go unanswered. Not only that, but I can no longer log in to my account there because the site keeps telling me I need to enable cookies -- even though they *are* enabled and I have no issues logging in to other sites. From: Message Author (click here to email author) (has asked not to receive email)Date: Saturday, 25-Oct-08 12:01:17 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This Comment On ThisI ordered from davestools.com on September 13, 2008. My credit card was charged on the same day. I have written several emails to their customer service address and only received automated responses saying that a customer service representative will respond to my message within 48 to 72 hours. Of all five messages that I have sent directly to davestools, I have yet to receive a response from the company. I finally made a complaint to moneybookers.com (the company that charges your credit card) this past weekend asking for help and information about the company (davestools). Moneybookers were at least kind enough to respond in a timely fashion and said that my complaint has been forwarded to their complaints department and would contact davestools on my behalf. I am not really sure if this will help speed up the process of refunding my money but it is at least a start. hope this might help. lcwoo From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Tuesday, 14-Oct-08 10:48:51 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
