circuit city ripoff

Five months ago I bought a Samsung TV at the Lenox Circuit City. I paid $610 cash for an out of the box TV which, I was told, was in pefect shape.

Five months later the TV set is dead. I take it to the store with my receipts, I had no warranty because I was told it is not offered for out of the box items and they said they can do nothing.

I believe this a total rip-off. I said to them I was gonna make sure everybody finds out about this. In these hard times it is outrageous that a supposedly respectable shop doesn/t take care of their clients.

I wasn't even expecting a refund, only a new TV, even if it meant a different make or size. I just wanted to make sure my kids had their TV back.

Totally disappointed at Circuit City and their staff, their lack of humanity. I am a hard working person (6 days a week) and I was only expecting some decency on their part. Everybody in these hard times knows how hard it it to make $610 to be wasted like this.

They had the nerve of suggesting that I try to get in touch with Samsung, to see if they can fix the TV. That's the kind of customer service you'll get from Circuit City.
