defective blue ray dvd walmart 820 s. rand road lake zurich, il 60047 US walmart.com i had bought a blue ray dvd (the happening) at a walmart in shawano wisconsin on my way back to illinois. a couple days after i got back from my trip my family and i decided to watch the movie. i opened it up, put it in the blue ray player (pioneer) and the dvd started to 'load' as normal. however the difference here is that the 'loading' on the tv screen never stopped. i put in a different blue ray dvd just to make sure my player didnt break. the 'other' dvd worked fine. so its an indication that the dvd is bad. i went to walmart tonight and said it is defective and i need to 'exchange' it. the csm and the store manager indicated that the walmart policy is no receipt no exchange on any 'electronics' items. without blowing my lid i walked out of the store vowing NEVER to shop at a walmart again and also told my family and friends to do the same. i believe that if i wanted a 'refund' i can agree with a no receipt, no 'refund' policy but a no refund, no exchange on defective merchandise is ludacris. so needless to say im out 30 bucks and walmart is out hundreds more. The CSM finally instructed me to get another copy from electronics..as I walked toward the back of the store I got madder with each step..of course I asked about the set and was told they were sold out..I explained my problem and was told since they were out I could opt to get a lower priced or higher priced dvd set and either pay the difference or get the difference on a gift card..or if the Manager agreed to it I could get a refund either on a gift card or cash my choice..so I chose WW season 2 which I did not need it was the same price so I took it up front explained what I was told the Manager allowed the exchange she gave me a receipt showing the item was paid for in cash no change was given..then I took it to another Walmart and got my cash back then I went to Circuit City and bought it there for less coz it was on sale! In your face Walmart! From: Message Author (click here to email author) (has asked not to receive email)Date: Tuesday, 14-Oct-08 12:16:41 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
