On Thursday, 11/6/08, I told the Appliance Girl, Lole that I needed a washer delivered by the next day as I was going on a business trip and definately needed them to deliver by the next day. She went to the back, confirmed that it was in good condition and delivery for next day. At 8:30 on Friday, Tommy from Lowes left a message on my cell that the washer was damaged. I called back at 9:30 and asked if they could get from another store. He said, "I don't know". I said to him, shouldn't you have already checked that? He called me an hour later and said that Lancaster had it and it was in good condition, they would still deliver 12:30-4:30. My husband got off work early and waited. They called late in the day and said the one in Lancaster was damaged too. My husband again asked them to check Santa Clarita. They said they would call us first thing on Sat. morning, again, no call. At 10:00 on Saturday morning, I called the Delivery Manager, Marriam, explained my frustration, she said there were 4 in Lancaster and she would call me right back to let me know if they could deliver or not. I waited - no call. At 11:30 Saturday I called and spoke to the store manager, Larry, explained how upset we were and he said he would have Marriam call me right back. It is now 12:00 on Saturday and I need to know what is going on. Do I have to go to the laundry matt all day, so I can go on my business trip tomorrow, or do I chance it and wait that they will come through? I will never purchase an appliance from there again, unless I inspect the machine myself when I purchase it and make a deal with them that if for any reason they do not deliver it when they say they will, I get an additional discount. Maybe I wont even chance that. This is why department stores are going out of business. Why expect anyone to actually do their job? We might as well just go to Costco or Sams Club and do it ourselves.

We had alot of bad experiences from the Lowes in Knoxville TN..I believe it's located on Kingstone Pike..the first time I was outside mowing when the oil cap came off my mower I was not aware of it until my mower blew oil everywhere..I was lucky and got out of the way in time..by the time I found the lost cap it was mangled beyond use...I went in and told my Mother she gave me her Lowes card and told me to go online and order a new one and have it mailed to us...we do not have a car! I was informed it would reach me in 5 business days!

A week later I called Lowes to find out what the problem was and was told the order did not go through..so this employee told me he could take the order himself..I gave him my Mothers card number (she is a valued Lowes customer with a very high customer rating) he takes the order tells me it will be a 10 day wait..by then our grass was nearly to my calves I'm short, but not that short..I have to mow the grass with a pushmower and we live on a acre and a half lot..I told him this and he said he was sorry, but that was their shipping time..so I hung up 12 days past and no delivery...so again I called and was told by yet another Employee that my order was never even placed..so that first employee lied through his teeth..I demanded to speak to the Manager...not the assistant Manager, but the main Manager..I told him all I was ordering was a lousy $4 oil cap for my mower and yet here it is my second order and still no cap..so he puts me on hold then returns and apologizes and says "the first order was cancelled because it was believed the card had been stolen and the employee still believing this cancelled the second order"..I exploded what the hell do you mean stolen the card belongs to my Mother..all I am ordering is a lousy $4 oil cap...not a fucking lawnmower..why would I use a stolen card on a oil cap?? again he apologized I told him his apology meant nothing I now have grass up to my waist and I have to mow it with a push mower..and I still have to wait nearly a week for the damn cap to arrive..he asked if I wanted to come pick it up I informed him the reason I'm having it delivered is because we don't have a car..he said he would get the cap and deliver it himself..and if he didn't have it in stock he would bring us a new mower and gas to put in it..I calmed down a bit and he said he would see me in 30 mins..20 mins later he arrived with the needed cap he checked my oil put the cap in place and apologized he said we would not be charged for the oil cap..he said "if it was in his power he would make the ones who listed my Moms card as stolen come here and mow my yard for me"..he then apologized again I thanked him and he left..what should have taken me 3 hours to mow took me 8 hours total..all because of the morons at Lowes...but did we learn our lesson...oh no!

My Moms microwave died after 10 years and she wanted a new one so we chose a rather expensive one online and I placed the order..two weeks later no delivery we were told "it would arrive in one week"..I called and asked for the Manager..she informed me the "delivery person claims no was home to accept delivery" I told the Manager that was a lie because the day of delivery we were all outside enjoying a pretty summer day and not once did a Lowes truck come up our driveway..she apologized and said their "driver would deliver our microwave that same day"..I told her I expected no more delivery charges on my Moms card..we paid the first timne we would not pay for the delivery persons massive lie and we wanted our old microwave carted away which is a service they offer..she agreed two hours later Moms microwave arrived..and it was huge..Mom was happy with it..the delivery Guy was not happy...I'm sure he was told we called him a liar and he would not be paid for the second delivery btw they do lie to get to charge that second delivery charge..he carries in this huge box and in a rude tone says "where do you want it?" my first instinct was to say shoved up your ass, but I was nice I said please put it on the counter..without a word he sets it on the kitchen table which is across the room..so I thought he was going to remove it from the box and put it on the counter for us instead he just walks out of the house..I informed him he was suppose to remove the old microwave which was also heavy and please remove the new one from the box and he without looking back said "that's not my job" and he was gone..now keep in mind my Mom was almost 80 at the time and I am only 5'3" and weigh about 100lbs..so not only did I have to carry Moms old microwave which had to weigh around 50 lbs or more my guess is alot more...down some dangerous steps into our storage room until I could get it outside in the garage out of the way which was a real bitch to do..after removing the heavy packing material..I realized the new microwave was even heavier then the old one I knew I wouldn't be able to lift it out of the heavy box by myself so I had to let my Mother help me we cut the box open then between the two of us we managed to get it to the counter where I hooked it up and figured out how to program the clock..I called the manager and loudly voiced a complaint about the delivery Man..she apologized to me and said she would "have him come back apologize to us both and pick up the old microwave" I told her I did not want that rude callous jerk in my house ever again and she should make a note on my Mothers account he is never to deliver to us again or we would not continue as customers. I told her he left a nearly 80 year old woman and a small 5'3" 100 lbs woman to do his job and now both of our backs are hurting because he was a lazy lying pile who did not want to do a job he was paid to do the first time and did not do, she told me she would call me back...one hour later she informed me after he tried "lying to her..saying we cussed him out and refused to let him take the microwave with him she finally got fed up and fired him.." turns out she has had numerous complaints filed against him and even told him so..she also refunded the original delivery fee to us and said she "would be sure it came out of his final check"..Now *that* is how a Manager is suppose to act..
