madagascar 2

my family and i were very offended by madagascar 2. it began with violence, followed by extreme stereotyping then plummeted to all out racism, sexism and homophobia. we endured half of the film hoping that a clear positive message would shine through. However, after scene after scene of slapstick drummed up by characters with poor impulse control, the difference between right and wrong just got more ambiguous.

you cannot hope to effectively teach children that a certain behavior is wrong after you have encouraged them to laugh at it.
