Ebay/Paypal - coupon

When logging into MyEbay on Ebay I was offered a 10% coupon off any auction available on site. Only requirements were that the item was to be paid through paypal, the item was to be paid by Oct 30 and that the my email address matched between ebay and paypal.

When I tried to use the coupon for an auction won on Oct 29th, I applied the coupon in ebay with no problem. When I was directed to log into the paypal site to complete the transaction, paypal took the applied coupon off and in red type across the top said "Coupon not able to be used" (not sure of proper wording). I emailed Ebay and they told me to contact paypal, of which they still have not addressed this situation at all.

I read your complaint and I was amazed because i sounded as I wrote it. I experienced EXACTLY the same problem. I bought the item based on the promised 10% discount. The discount could not be applied. It was a fraud, as far as I am concerned. I am an honest person, almost to a fault. I expect somebody to treat me the same, or at least care if a mistake was made. Ebay clearly expressed no concern with the situation. I am in amazement!!!!!!!!
