Anderson Windows moldy
|
US After a major remodel in the late summer of 2001 we were told that Anderson windows are the best on the market. What a joke. The year after installation we noticed mold on the frame around the glass. We contacted our local Lumber yeard who sold us the windows the year before and first of allit took forever to get a Rep out to look at the problem and when he did show up he had the nerve to tell me I had to clean my windows more often and crank out the casement windows so I could clean the hinge. That was besides the point. He told us the humidity in our home was too high and that is what caused the mold to grow on our windows. Our French Patio door was warped because we didn't keep it locked when not in use, but they did replace the panel that was warped. I noticed a draft on some of the windows but after the treatment from the Rep and the third degree I don't know if I want to contact Anderson Windows again. So much ofr customer service and their so called warranty. No one ever told us before that we have our humidity tto high, if we did something about the humidity we would have our wood furniture cracking and splitting. Does anyone know what the noise reduction rate is on Anderson windows? I have an issue with a lot of traffic noise and it seems on some days as if I don't even have windows in our home. I will never buy Anderson again. From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Friday, 07-Nov-08 11:43:55 CST Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
