Sears Black Friday is a SCAM

I went in to Sears on Wednesday night to check out the washer and dryer they had on their black Friday sale for 599.99. The sales associate told me that I could pre-order this set and took all my information and said that he would enter me into the computer first thing when he got in. Well I woke up on Friday morning and checked my bank statement to see if my card had been charged, and it had not. We first tried to call the number he had specifically given us after I had asked him numerous times that I could count on him and could not get a hold of him. I had a sinking feeling and got dressed and went all the way over to the Sears and my feeling were confirmed when I walked up to him and asked him if he had entered in my order he said that he had been swamped and had not had time and that they were out of stock till Feb 09. I was very upset and I asked for my information back and left. Needless to say I will not be buying anything from Sears ever again. I had planned to stand in line at 4am just like everyone else but because I was led to believe I could pre-order this set I didn't and because of that I didn't get the sale price. Moral of the story don't trust anyone.

You may have gotten a good deal. I was at the store early and was second in line. I was promised mine the next day, then 12/20, then 12/9 and received a confirmation. I am now scheduled for 2/28/2009. I have made numerous calls and talked to the manager and even the fact that I got rid of my washer and dryer on 12/8 after getting a confirmation of deliver does not matter. No one cares.
