Canon digital camera became junk after two years warranty period.

I bought one Canon A410 (Body Sl. No. 1246220527) from M.A. Photographic Centre (Phone 033 2228 4738) of 1, Lenin Sarani (Opp. Shaw Bar), Metro Gali, Kolkata 700013 on 04.04.2006. paying Rs. 7100/- vide their Cash Memo No. 008 dtd. 04.04.2006. I have sparingly used it during its warranty period of 2 years. Just after its warranty period elapsed, it became dead. I deposited it in Canon's Camera SVC Centre, Kolkata situated at 3A, 1st floor, Shakespeare Sarani, Kolkata 700071 (Phone 033 4011 0710)on 14.11.08. vide their Job Sheet No. JS56013. They informed me by telephone on 19.11.2008. that it is beyond repair and asked me to collect the junk from them paying Rs. 250/- inspection charge.

If a camera worth Rs. 7100/- becomes junk just after its warranty period is over, who would buy camera from Canon?
