Electrolux Extended Warranty

Frigidaire Refrigerator US I have been paying for an extended warranty on a refrigerator for 13 years. My icemaker is no longer operational and they no longer make the replacement part. After 2+ months, they finally agreed to pay 70% of a new refrigerator. I bought a comparable unit, sent them all of my paperwork and continue to get a royal runaround! Service? I don't think so. I have never been treated so poorly and will be amazed if they ever send me a check. Save your money - and don't deal with Electrolux! Our air conditioner worked for less than 6 months (model fam157S1A). Our warranty customer service experience was tedious and frustrating. It took numerous phone calls to jump through all the hoops. I was promised faxes that were never sent and then told they had been sent. I kept a written record of each person I talked to. Be sure you have your contract number from the start. If they tell you it will take 8 to ten weeks to mail it to you, get the supervisor on the line. They also told me the repair service company had not contacted them but they had. I spent over 10 hours in phone time over a five week period getting approval to have a unit replaced that had been identified by their authorized repair business as too expensive to repair. Their agents are polite but the follow through wasn't as promised in my experience. It's amazing in this day and age with companies trying to stay afloat, that they only word the ELECTROLUX people seem to know is "no". Because of their incompetence, Frigidaire has lost two customers. Never again. I would NEVER buy from them again, or an extended warranty from ELECTROLUX. Buyers beware.
Stay away from both of them... From: Message Author (click here to email author) Date: Tuesday, 13-Jan-09 16:45:05 CST Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
