norton 2007 do not buy

wanted to enter the activation key for norton since I could not use it without the key. Upon doing so it kept on saying that there was no internet connection, when I had perfect internet connection so I tested the product activation with no keys entered to see if the result would be the same. This time it was stuck, saying that it was gathering data each time I tried activation, even with shutdowns and logoffs.

Tried to uninstall it but said that a there was a file missing and now I cannot delete it from my pc, since since it is running all at all times when the pc is on. I think that Norton 2007 is bad and I strongly recommend that you do not buy it
