Duel screen dvd player / PVS7970 Alco Electronics Inc. / AKA Trutech / AKA Durabrand Venturer Electronics, Inc. 725 Denison St. Markham, Ontario L3R 1B8 Canada Markham, On L3R 1B8 CA http://www.venturer.com I put the date above but cannot give an exact date because I did not think that it would be this much of a problem with the product OR that it would go on this long. Anyway I purchased a dual screen dvd player for the car for the kids and the main screen went out. Granted that the product was about 7 months old when this happened but I do not use it daily and I would have thought the product to have lasted longer than this. I have called, emailed and done everything else that I can think of to no avail. This is always a last resort to post something online about a company however there was nothing else to do .. No one wants to help OR talk to me at this point. SO I CAN ONLY SAY BEWARE OF THE PRODUCTS AND ANY WARRANTY OR SUPPORT YOU MIGHT THINK YOU WILL RECEIVE FROM THE FOLLOWING BRANDS OR COMPANIES THAT I FOUND LISTED OR ASSOCIATED WITH THIS BRAND. Alco Electronics Inc. Trutech Durabrand Venturer Sold online, Target and Wal-mart.. NOW For my disclaimer - The above situation happened to me and is based on an opinion. You have the choice to form your own opinion or listen to a warning and buy something that I feel would be a better product. I purchased a RCA portable DVD player from Zellers in December 2007 and approx. 6 months later the buttons on the system stopped working. I paid to send it to Venturer Electronics in Markham, Ontario for repair as it was still under warranty. It has been almost 7 months and I have not received my system or a replacement back. I have made a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, and advise anyone with a similar circumstance to do the same. To update this, I received the DVD player back three days after contacting the Better Business Bureau, however, my system was not repaired. It was delivered still broken, and left by the courier at my front door when I was not home.
