Promised SW Airline Tickets/Scam
|
VIP Travel Reservations, Inc. VIP Travel Reservations, Inc. Port Orange, FL 32129 US I sat through what was suppose to be 90 minutes and ended up being over 2 hrs, promised "2 Airline Tickets for 2 adults" from Southwest Airlines or like airlines. Also promised choice of digital camera, or DVD, they ran out of the gifts. Didn't get any airline tickets and only received a form stating that if I sent a check for $50, paid a processing fee and other surcharges, I then would get tickets on certain dates only. Contacted Southwest Airlines and they don't acknowledge any involvement with this company. Their pitch was presurized and they kept lowering the offer if we bouoght then[ we did not]. They also could not produce the promised gift from Ritz Carlton and would not let us take home a report of corporate finances. What should we know or how to check out the authenticity of this group? Any help is welcome. Only thing waisted at this point is time. I received a letter offering similar (two airline tickets to any place) and wondered what the scam was... The company from whom I received the letter was Colbert & Johnson. They have a website but it only has their name and that they are a "awards management company". Their domain name and website was put up a month ago!
