Where is Toyota Corolla's reputation?

I do not think the car has good quality as I heard of before and I was so disappointed by this car. Where is Toyota's reputation? I am the first owner of my Toyota Corolla, which has 74,000 mile on it now. The car has been well maintained. However, there are some unexpected problems with the car. After I bought the car three and half years (March 2005), the check engine light went on and it was diagnosed that the evaporation system had malfunction and the charcoal canister and vacuum switch needed to be replaced. I had spent more than $600.00 to have this done. At that time I did not complain too much. However, the same thing happened again in November 2007), I had to spend another $600.00 to replace canister and valve again (after two and half years later). The first time, I thought I might be unlucky to have a bad part. This time I believe that Toyota manufacturer did not make good quality of parts, at least the canisters are poorly manufactured. The experiences that I had to replace the canister every two or three years just can be a typical example for Toyota Corolla's deteriorating reputation. In the same time, the motors of the two front door windows (both driver and passenger sides) are also broken and can not move the windows properly. I do not know if this is typical. One of my friends has the same problem with his Toyota Corolla window motors. The dealer estimated that the replacement of the two motors will cost more than $1,000.00. Two and half years ago I have contacted your company about the bad quality of the canister. Although some representative showed willingness to help me to do something and finally nothing happened. This time, I contacted the Toyota customer relationship and the local dealer who replaced the canisters for me again about the bad quality of the two canisters, however, both declined to give me certain compensation for that.
