Melting of space heater

The thermostat knob became hard to turn, and inspection revealed the knob and top of unit were melting and moving off-center. I used their website to voice my displeasure but have gotten no responce yet. I have digital photos of defect available.

The manuf. has contacted me and is sending me a different style new free heater. I'm happy now.
